What is Hydroseeding?

Hydroseeding is when we combine wood mulch, grass seed, fertilizer, tackifire (a
bonding agent), and water into a large tank. These materials are mixed together
by engaging the augers. Then we spray this mixture onto your prepared soil.

How fast does hydroseeding grow?

You will begin to see blades of grass emerge from the soil in 7 to 10 days. At the
4 to 5 week stage the grass is 3 to 4 inches tall, and ready for its first mowing.
The grass is then to be mowed each week thereafter. At 7 to 8 weeks the grass
is completely established and ready for any type of activity. (Results vary
depending on weather, soil and prep quality, and watering schedule.)

How often do I water hydroseed?
For the first 3 to 4 weeks you will need to water 3 to 4 times a day for about 10
to 15 minutes each time. Amounts vary depending on water pressure, types of
sprinklers, soil type, and weather. After the first month you will then cut back the
water and train your roots to go deeper into the soil.

What's the best time of year to hydroseed?
Anytime is a good time to plant your lawn. Different seasons offer different
advantages. Hydroseeding in the spring and fall requires less water than in the
summer months. However, in the heat of the summer the grass will germinate and
grow faster.

Do I have to have a sprinkler system to hydroseed?
No, however we highly recommend one. You can water it by hand, but it just
requires a lot of time and effort. If you are going to be watering by hand, we
recommend hydroseeding in the spring or fall.

How late in the year can you Hydroseed?
Around mid October, but it is suggested not to procrastinate

How much does Hydroseed cost?
It depends on the size of your yard, and the seed blend you choose.

What kind of seed should I use?
We can Hydroseed any type of custom mix you want us to
use.
